How exciting is it to announce the “Employed” is finally complete with Post-Production and has been submitted to the following 3 Film Festivals:
- Phoenix Film Festival – Arizona Made Shorts
- Palm Springs International ShortFest – Live Action
- HollyShorts Film Festival – Short Live Action
On Saturday, November 1st, we had a Friends & Family premiere of Employed at Pollack Cinemas in Tempe. Pollack was very gracious to allow us to use Theatre 1 and we are in talks of having short film screenings once a month in order to promote the short film community in the valley. Please reach out to 643 Productions in order to get your short film up on the big screen!
To start things off, Employed premiered alongside 2 other short films: Wendigo by Godtape Productions and SKIN by Tanner J Perry It was great to see the audiences reactions to all 3 films and I think the theatre experience really amplified the visuals and audio of the films. We held a Q&A session with the cast and crew of Employed afterwards led by Brad Perry, giving us some insightful answers into the process that went into making Employed. Thank you to everyone who attends and special thanks to Brad Perry and Michael Pollack for making this event possible.
Final note, building out the DCP and testing it with Evan the projectionist a couple days before the event was a educational experience for me and I am glad I grabbed a few photos behind the scenes at the theatre while I was there.
